Launched in 2012 and published by Morrison Media, White Horses is a high-end, quarterly publication with amazing imagery, compelling content and no pretences.
It’s a million miles away from a typical ‘surf’ magazine, and is devoted to stories of the sea.
Here are 2 pieces I have been lucky enough to get published!
Thanks to the Editor in chief Gra Murdoch for having me.

Andrew Wells from Grown Surfboards asked me to produce a skateboard graphic for his new range of boards. This was a lot of fun as Andrew said to do what I like. So the 'Beaver Hunter' was born!
Chica Bonita Mexican Restaurant in Manly commissioned me to paint a live art piece last Thursday the 6th march. The best fish tacos on earth as well as a few Mexican cerveza's made the 5hr paint a joyous occasion. Thanks to Luke, Sean, Tipi and Annalise for the gracious hospitality and quality background beats.

Between December 19 and January 5, 2013, Mambo and Southern Comfort teamed up to transform the forecourt of Customs House.
Throwing together a bunch of exclusive Mambo product available for purchase, collaborating with Southern Comfort to create an inviting bar with chill out area AND having a live art schedule that included renowned Mambo artists like Ben Brown and Blair Sayer as well as some LA Division artists including myself.
It was three weeks of good art, good cocktails and countless good times.
Text from Hurley Australian Open of Surfing - Day 5 News Page:
Matt Dampney is just one of a number of artists that collectively call themselves “Local Artists Division”. Based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches the gang includes, among others, Lee McConnell, and together the boys spent some time prettying-up one side of a Hurley Art Cube on Day 5.
Lee is responsible for the cool “Never Leave Paradise” art on the right. And Matt is responsible for the merman-fro character on the left.
Bread'n Butter Cafe Cremorne commissioned me to paint a mural for their group of companies. They have a Cafe, Bar, Barber Shop and Homewares Store so I created some artwork based on this.
I used house paint on the brick wall which gives the piece a real graphic feel. It took approximately 10 hours total over 2 days.
Troppo group show at the Belgrave Cartel Manly.
I created Choc Wedge Man vs Golden Gaytime Man.
These pieces are available to buy as prints if interested email me.
Washed Out Superhero Show presented by LA Division at the Lofi Collective.
I chose Popeye who has turned to Clowning since the GFC hit and there wasn't much work left saving lives. He's also pretty hip with his neck tatt and pirate hat arrgh!
We also exhibited a 2nd piece of art that represented our own style. I produced a head with a beard... hey! that's what I do.
I was stoked to join my mates at LA division on this show. It was a great night organised by Luke and Bridget.
